About Kyle Pelletier
Kyle Pelletier is a recent graduate from Central Connecticut State University with his BSED in History and Secondary Education. After graduation, Kyle began teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Social Studies at The Capital Preparatory Harbor School in Bridgeport, CT. Kyle’s main goal working with the MSE program is to combine his love for history and teaching with the amazing and vast collections at Mystic Seaport.
Due to his extensive historical background, Kyle had an amazing time working to create an Artifact Article for the Oil Painting of Canton, China. The oil painting touches on many aspects of what 21st century Social Studies educators try to bring into the Secondary classroom; cross-cultural connectivity, the fusion of cultures and ideas, and the pros and cons of exploration and contact.
A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Kyle first discovered his passion for teaching while coaching high school wrestling in his hometown of Plainville. Kyle attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America in 2010 and has always had a passion for the outdoors and exploration.
