Join us on Thursday, July 16 for the third program in our “What’s New in the Night Sky” virtual summer series. This 6-part collection offers a different program every two weeks, celebrating the diversity of the night sky by highlighting the star lore of a different culture. This week, we will explore summer at the Arctic Circle, and how the tilt of Earth’s axis creates a unique condition there called the “midnight sun.” As this period comes to close in late July, we can discover the Inuit view of the night sky, and the constellations within.
