In this image, a group of girls is gathered on the deck of an unidentified vessel. This photo was taken by the journalist Herbert L. Aldrich at Port Clarence, Alaska in 1887. This is an albumen print on a creme-colored mount. On the back, written in pencil is "Eskimo girls at Port Clarence Alaska."
