Ideas for Classroom Use

Antoine DeSant

Classroom Discussion

Bring in an object or two that relates to your personal family history.  Perhaps it’s a family heirloom or a document, or maybe even a story told by your parents and grandparents about how your ancestors came to America.  Link this project into a discussion of how keeping personal family histories is crucial to the development of preserving local history as well as keeping one’s lineage active and relevant.
